Alumni Front and Center at Pastor Principal Reception

In October, CSF celebrated the 2023 Pastor and Principal Reception hosted by PwC at their Seaport Office. This reception honored the school leaders who work hard every day to make our Catholic schools strong and provide an incredible education for their students.

We were also joined by Armani Lamin and Sammy Cintra, CSF Alumni and graduates of Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy and Cathedral High School, where they graduated as salutatorian and valedictorian respectively in 2019.

Armani shared his impressive educational journey from Catholic school to graduating as a 1789 Scholarship Recipient from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Economics this past May. Armani now works as a Rotational Associate within the Legal, Risk, and Compliance unit at Fidelity Investments.

Sammy, who emigrated from Cuba as a child, attended Denison University in Ohio as a Posse Scholar. He graduated this past May with a degree in Health Sciences and currently works at City Reality.

Scholar Alumna Reads Her New Book at Alma Mater

Earlier this year CSF Scholar Alumna and Children's Author Sophia Occeana Desmornes visited her alma mater, St Theresa of the Child Jesus School, for a reading of her new book, "I Know Who I Am." The book aims to boost self esteem and provide encouragement to readers. Every student in the second grade class was able to take home their own copy of the book!

When asked why she wrote the book, Sophia says, "With so many negative influences in our world right now affecting our children, I wanted to counter that and plant seeds of self-confidence to children everywhere."
