Meet One of the New Scholar Alumni

Alejandro Baez Tejada, along with over 150 scholars in the class of 2024, will become CSF Scholar Alumni upon graduating this spring. Alejandro, a Lawrence resident, recently graduated from St. John's Prep in Danvers. Prior to that, he attended Bellesini Academy in Lawrence.

On May 17th, Alejandro was the student speaker at his school's annual Benefactors Breakfast. During his remarks, he shared stories of those who invested and sacrificed so much to give him the opportunity to attend St. John's Prep and to make his time there so successful. The list was long, ranging from his family, teachers, guidance counselors, and even himself, noting his choice in selecting a school further away from home and where many of his friends were not attending was a difficult one for him and his family.

The following day at graduation, Alejandro was awarded the Xaverian Award, the highest honor the school can bestow upon a graduating senior. The award is presented to the class member who best epitomizes the values and tradition of Xaverian Education.

Next year, Alejandro will be attending the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.
